E-world, which is the largest European trade fair for the Energy and Water industry, took place in Essen for the 17th time this year!
E-world is one of the busiest and most important events for professionals from the European energy industry. More than 700 exhibitions were represented this year, and more than 24 000 visitors from 71 different countries participated. The purpose of the event is to share ideas and demonstrate the latest technologies and products. This year’s agenda was quite varied including algorithmic trading, data analytics using machine learning and smart energy among other topics.
Representing Statkraft in E-world
Statkraft was represented in E-world by more than 100 employees and our stand was located next to the major Energy players such as E.ON, RWE and Innogy. It is important for Statkraft to participate in E-world not only to stay in touch with our existing and potential business partners but also to gain insight into and exchange ideas about Energy sector.
I found E-world quite inspiring and interesting especially because part of my job in Düsseldorf has been to manage our renewables’ portfolio’s short term forecast and to constantly improve the forecast quality. E-world presented the perfect opportunity for me to meet renewables’ forecast providers and to get to know current market trends and opportunities.
My time in Düsseldorf has come to an end, and I will now head back to the Statkraft headquarters in Oslo for the next challenge!
